I’m married with two children, living in the Fairview/Marino area. My daughter Caoimhe is making a life for herself in the U.S. and my son Cian is a student. I worked for 28 years in the Financial services sector. I work as a political advisor and I entered local politics with a background in community voluntary work of over thirty years, including Samaritans; the Credit Union Movement, volunteer Director of Stepping Stone, a housing charity and various sports’ clubs. I also work as a volunteer advocate supporting adult victims of child sexual abuse and my knowledge and experience helped shape the child protection guidelines used in our schools today. I’m also a member of the Bull Island Action Group and Unite Trade Union. I would be known as a very hands-on Councillor and enjoy getting involved with community groups particularly environmental groups. I believe in people-centered politics and actions and this belief has characterised my work.
My Priorities & Ideas
It has been a great honour for me to have represented my community for the past five years on Dublin City Council. I hope with your support that I can continue to do so.
I am a hard-working and diligent Independent Councillor who concentrates on the local issues that I was elected for. I believe in people-centered policies and actions and this belief has characterised my work.
The lack of affordable housing, as well as a shortage of housing stock and climate change affect all our families and are the most critical issues of our time. I hope with your support that I can continue to do my best at Council level on these and other issues facing our community.
